FAQ

Can I visit your farm?

Our flower gardens are not open to the public. While we’d love to have our customers come out and visit any time they like, it’s just not feasible since we grow commercially we are not set up to accommodate visitors.  As our gardens grows, we will plan in the future to have an open day and our flower customers will be invited.

Are your flowers grown organically?

Growing flowers on small scale farms goes hand in hand in caring about the environment. While our gardens are not certified organic, we do believe strongly in growing in harmony with nature and utilizing natural integrated pest management practices. We love flowers and we love nature, and we want to be able to produce flowers being mindful that we also drink the water from our wells and we live on the land we grow our flowers. Our natural practices are growing extra flowers to share with insects, the ‘squoosh’ method, the ‘slug run’ (picking slugs), natural baits, we encourage beneficial insects and bird habitats to help us and especially we cover a lot of our dahlia blooms with organza bags when issues arise but always being mindful that we need to keep lots of flowers open for the bees, butterflies and other insects. We are accustomed to working with the buzz of bees constantly in our ears which often requires the need to wear long sleeves as they tend to rule the flower patches. Our years of experience in growing flowers and Marc’s background, with his extensive horticulture studies, have been tremendous assets in our venture. We strongly believe and determine that we can build better soil and establish sustainable practices while growing beautiful flowers.
